- Users will want a System that operates with rules robust enough to allow stakeholder relationships to be classified in Constitutional, Social (including culture) and Economic terms.
To generate good quality data users and the agencies they work for must be able to create unique stakeholder profiles relevant to the environment a user is operating in. Data can be recorded in REM World™ and information shared with any authorised user so that they are aware of the extent to which a particular stakeholder has interactions with one or more users and on what basis this occurs. From a multi‐user / multi‐agency perspective, stakeholder relationships can either be established on a “one‐off” Project basis, with an individual relationship Protocol or on an “on‐going” Policy, Programme or multi project basis with a Memorandum of Understanding, involving a standard set of principles and operating expectations for managing the stakeholder relationship.
- Users will need to generate, interrogate and retrieve accurate relationship data that clearly identifies a stakeholder and their interests.
REM World™ is designed to record why a relationship exists, how it is to function and what it is required to deliver or achieve. Comprehensive stakeholder profiles will be generated over time in REM World™ which will better connect a user with other user activity to maximise opportunities for effectively managing those stakeholders they have activity in common with. Users will also be able to efficiently apply their available resources to manage issues and achieve outcomes in a more co‐ordinated manner.
- Users have existing paper records and other data sets they may wish to access and attach to a stakeholder profile or to any project management activity.
Documents, maps, photos or other types of hardcopy material can be attached from any external source. REM World™ can also be linked directly to any existing project management system that may operate in a user’s IT environment.
- Users and their organisations are seeking a System that can deliver multilateral coordination and cooperation capability so that they don’t have to design and build their own Systems to achieve this.
Having a single source of truth will be vital for users wanting to share data. REM World™ is designed and built with unlimited inter‐operability and scalability that will eliminate the need for the proliferation of Stakeholder Management Systems. A user can deploy REM World™ or some other System on a unilateral basis if they wish, however a proliferation of such Systems could create a risk of some systems not being compatible with others. This will hinder rather than facilitate “building better connections” between user organisations, particularly where users have stakeholder relationship management issues in common. Most competing Systems in existence are available for “in‐house” use only. These Systems are often constrained to the unilateral environment they operate in and are not designed with the capacity to provide significant inter‐operability and scalability. REM World™ can be hosted or self hosted
- Over time users will want to apply the intelligence generated in REM World™ to achieve more strategic objectives and to test Policy, Programme and Project assumptions or hypotheses, before committing resources to developing and implementing delivery mechanisms.
The functionality of REM World™ can be enhanced over time to produce applications related to stakeholder management forecasting and modelling. The System is currently able to provide users with the functionality to develop scenarios and assess likely outcomes, in a virtual environment, before committing resources and going “live”.
- System Administrators will want to utilise REM World™’s Meta Data capability to meet the demands of the authorised users under their control.
REM World™ operates as a normal database system but with the ability to customise the way in which data is created, interrogated and retrieved. Customisation can be implemented on an individual or collective basis.
